Viewing Your Balance
Your current balance is always visible in the top-right corner of the AgentPay Hub. This balance:- Works across all MCP Servers you use.
- Is used after any Server-specific free credits are consumed.
- Shows any outstanding payments that need to be covered.
Adding Funds
To add funds to your AgentPay balance:- Click the “Top Up” button next to your balance in the Hub header.
- Enter the amount you wish to add.
- Select your preferred payment method:
- Credit cards (via Stripe)
- USDC on Base (stablecoin)
- Complete the payment process.
We currently support credit cards through Stripe and USDC on Base for balance top-ups. We’re working on adding more payment methods in the future, including automatic top-up.
Understanding Free Credits
When you first get an API Key for a Server:- You’ll receive $1.00 in free credit to test out the Server.
- This free credit is specific to that Server only, and only available the first time you get an API Key for it.
- Once you use up the free credit, you’ll start consuming from your AgentPay balance.
Balance and API Keys
Your AgentPay balance directly affects your API Keys:- Positive Balance: All your API Keys remain active and can be used.
- Zero Balance: API Keys will be invalidated until you add funds.
- Outstanding Payments: If a Server usage fails due to insufficient funds:
- The payment is recorded as outstanding.
- Your API Key is invalidated.
- When you add funds, outstanding payments are automatically paid first.
- Your API Key is reactivated once payments are complete.
Best Practices
- Monitor Regularly: Check your balance in the Hub header to ensure you have sufficient funds.
- Plan Ahead: Add funds before your balance gets too low to avoid service interruptions.
- Check Usage: Review your usage in the “My API Keys” tab to understand your spending patterns.
- Set Reminders: Consider setting up notifications for low balance alerts.
